Disaster Relief Opportunities
You know that the need in Haiti is great - you've seen the news
reports on TV and read updates from Gretchen in
Haiti. Your response has simply been overwhelming;
we thank God for all that you have done to reach out
and minister to the Haitian people! Thank you!
Many are asking for more ways to make an impact in the communities
where Lifeline is ministering to the Haitian
people. Below are some opportunities for you, your
family, church, organization, school or workplace to
be involved in.
Opportunities for You, Your Church or Your Organization
1) Pray!
For the Haitians, Lifeline's ministries in Haiti, our US
volunteers, our team in Haiti, relief efforts, and
more.
2)
Financial
Contributions
The relief efforts and repairs will be significant and will take
time. Relief efforts include: purchasing items in
Haiti (fuel, propane, food), shipping supplies to
Haiti (medicines, tools/equipment, supplies),
spiritual outreach, emotional counseling,
rebuilding (schools, churches, and Children's
Home) and more. You can
donate online or
mail a check to Lifeline.
3)
Donate Relief Items
Collect needed items: peanut butter, canned meats, powdered infant formula,
shoes, and bedding.
4) Serve in Haiti
Join a mission trip to Haiti to help with rebuilding efforts -
either individually or organize a group from your
church/organization. If
you are interested in more information, email
Laborlink@Lifeline.org.
5) Serve in the US
Organize a collection drive for relief items.
Volunteer at Lifeline's Westerville, Ohio office and
warehouse. (Contact
Dana@Lifeline.org to

Join Lifeline's
food bagging events, which will
be scheduled throughout 2010. Contact
Ben@Lifeline.org to

bagging event near you.
6) Spread the Word
through
Facebook,
Twitter,
Lifeline's
website,
email updates and conversations with friends and
family.
