Christian School in Ecuador

High in the Andean mountains of Quito, Ecuador, a Christian school is pouring into students who otherwise may never have the opportunity to experience the love of Christ.

Ecuador School Location

Rey Sabio Salomón (ERSS) provides a fully-accredited education for children ages 4 – 18. At ERSS we focus on creating an environment where students and staff come to know, live, and grow in the understanding of who Jesus is, who we are in Him, and who we are together as the sons and daughters, brothers and sisters of Christ. We find our identity, purpose and being in Him. With that, we seek to grow to be an "appeal" to our world, to be His ambassadors in our homes, communities, workplaces, and world.

Ecuador Classroom

Life in this community of 12,000 residents is a daily struggle for our students. Although the community is nearly 100 years old, many homes do not have access to drinking water and the sewage system. The average monthly household income is far below the average with significant unemployment or underemployment. Youth issues include teenage pregnancy, venereal disease, and exposure to gang related activity.

Yet the school has become a place of hope and stability for these students! Parent workshops, as well as child and family counseling, are important additional services to ensure the holistic development of each child. We strive to be an inclusive community of students, parents, and educators striving to become all that God created us to be. To become faithful individuals prepared and equipped to impact all phases of life to the benefit of all with the heart of a servant for the Glory of God.

Ecuador School

Through six areas of focus – identity, discipleship, critical thinking, technology, effective communication (including English), and servant leadership - the school is providing the opportunity for our children to overcome the challenges they face in their community.

We believe that strengthening the home environment is paramount for our children’s emotional health, while our partnership with San Pablo church helps provide continued spiritual development for our staff and Bible school for our children. Also, the parents pay a portion of the tuition for their children to ensure that they, too, value the school and its staff.

With your donations, you help the school continue to educate and minister to the children, while also enabling our caring, professional staff to develop the full potential of each child!
