Ministry of Carlos Cojon

You keep ministry momentum moving when you support the ministry of our Lifeline staff who dedicate their lives 24/7 to restoring hope around the world. Your prayers and donations enable our staff to be your hands and feet, as God's love is shared through Lifeline's ministry communities!

Carlos shares:

I am from Guatemala. I accepted Jesus in 1986 and since this date God has been moving in my heart to serve Him everywhere.

God gave me the opportunity to attend Colegio Biblico in Eagle Pass, Texas. It was there that I met “the apple of my eye” and we have been married 27 years. We have 4 children; God gave us the opportunity to adopt two of them.

God has been preparing my life to serve Him in His timing. I served God in my country for 12 years after I finished my Bible studies; God used us to plant a school. I also served as the senior pastor at my hometown for 5 years, and I was the first pastor who helped this church learn to become sustainable to itself. This time of ministry in my country was a preparation of God's plans for me and my family to take the next step.

In 2005, God moved us to Honduras to serve with Lifeline Christian Mission where we have served 12+ years leading this project for God.

children's home

I am grateful with my Lord because one of the projects that I could not do in my country, we now see our dream come to life.  One of our dreams was to lead a children’s home and part of our work in Honduras is serving these beautiful girls. I am convinced too, that my experience as a pastor was a great training to leading people, as I lead many staff in Honduras.

I am convinced that God has the best for me, and now I understand better why I am alive. I say that because in 1976 my country suffered a 7.5 magnitude earthquake and around 23,000 people died. I was 11 and I can say I am miracle of God because most of the houses in my town were destroyed and my family´s house was one of them. I was rescued out from under all the wood beam and blocks of mud. It was a difficult experience, but I am alive and now I understand why I am alive: God kept me alive for His work.

I am happy serving Lifeline. I would like to say to you - all those who generously support Lifeline - that my family and I we are taking advantage of the opportunity that God is giving us to serve Him together with you.

Carlos & Paty

I love soccer games and watching television. I would like understand American football, and I like baseball, but only the playoffs.

I love to write poems to my wife. I love to eat with my family on the beach. I love to call my wife “the cream of my coffee”, “the apple of my eyes”, and “the sugar of my coffee”. She calls me “her crazy in love man”. One important thing to be strong in the ministry is the love in the marriage; this is one important thing God teach me every day.

Last thing: I love and I am grateful for my wife, because she works hard beside me in this ministry.
