Healthy Ministry: Paving the Path Forward

Written by Joel Augustus, EVP, Global Strategies

At Lifeline, we are continuing our efforts to build capacity with our local leaders in each of our fields. We have an incredible group of leaders who are dedicated to God’s work and who are eager to develop leadership skills that will benefit individuals, their community, and Lifeline.

In order to help them build their capacity as leaders, the North American staff is being tooled up as well.

Together, we are all learning about project cycle development skills.
These skills require a greater emphasis on:

  • establishing phased business plans
  • defined timelines
  • risk management
  • intentional development of younger leaders

In our field locations, pilot projects are being used as a "sandbox," where our local leaders can attempt new things, where it is safe to try and fail, and where camaraderie and team spirit can be polished.

Several small-scale kingdom businesses have been successfully launched. These small businesses provide a needed service in the community; additionally, they generate local income, elevate dignity, and provide great opportunities for intentional spiritual conversations.

Throughout the remainder of 2022, we will host additional learning seminars for our North American and field leaders. Together we will learn new skill sets, cast vision, and dream about the future.

Please pray for these training times. They are great opportunities to celebrate forward movement, lessons learned, and to struggle with positive but difficult-to-make changes that will pave the path forward to healthy ministry outcomes for years to come.
