Ministry Updates: May 2018

Because you gave your time, prayers, and/or donations, Christ's love is being expressed around the world!

Red Sands Demo Collage
Arizona
The construction has begun for the new Red Sands Christian School.
Please pray for safety for the workers and that no building surprises will derail the project or skyrocket costs. We also need additional teams with construction experience, along with furnishings donated for the classrooms, gym, and commercial kitchen. Simply let us know if you have any connections or resources.

Consider supporting the school efforts! You can make a difference right now with your gift!

At times, the ministry and work can feel daunting. Yet, through all the uncertainty, we're still excited about the future for the school! One day, these students will be leaders in their communities. You have an opportunity to help influence the development of leadership and the transformation of families and communities for Christ. Continue to keep the school, staff and these students in your prayers!

Ecuador Collage Updates
Ecuador
Through the theater project at the Escuela Rey Sabio Salomon (Wise King Solomon School) in Ecuador, the students have shown their peers what God can do in their lives when they trust Him.

The play portrayed how people try to reach God on their own, but it doesn’t work. It emphasized that the only way to Him is through a relationship with Jesus.

"Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'"
John 14:6

 Guatemala Pic Update
Guatemala
Guatemala sponsors...if you missed the latest sponsor newsletter please view here: Guatemala newsletter pdf.

Here was the reaction of Laure DeLucco, New Day Christian Church Guatemala Missions Team Coordinator, as she read the Guatemala newsletter:

"I sit here with mixed tears of joy and sadness as I read the prayers and look at the pictures of the families. The joy comes from how much they are growing and trusting the Lord. (And how much the kids are growing!) The sadness ...when satan wins... and they stop seeking God..or coming to church.. or they divorce. ..or follow the worlds ways. It makes our prayers more fervent and our desire to share the gospel with them more passionate! I can't wait to see them all again and meet the many new faces I see in the photos. They say to me now when I arrive "Welcome Home!" And that's just what it is...my "other" home. The joy filled reunion we have gives me a glimpse of what heaven will be like when we are finally all together and we hear our Lord and Savior say to us" Welcome Home!"  Until then...Dan and I will be busy building God's Kingdom in Guatemala. We have been so blessed and are so grateful be a part of this ministry and see it grow. Lifting Deybee and Jocelyn in prayer for the amazing Kingdom work they are doing. We are honored to be able to work along side such dedicated people!"

Haiti Flag Day Collage
Haiti
Bòn Fèt Drapo! Happy Flag Day! On May 18, our school in Grand Goave celebrated Haitian Flag Day by parading through the streets of town and around the Lifeline campus. Song and dance are a huge a part of this day as people all across the country celebrate Haitian heritage and independence.

Honduras Collage Update
Honduras
The children's ministry at the church in Choloma provides weekend tutoring for students. Many of the students who take advantage of this opportunity are a part of the church family, but others are welcome too. Recently the children spent a day loving on their community by collecting trash and cleaning up their neighborhood.

Thank you for blessing the children and giving them the opportunity to know Jesus! Continue loving the communities that Lifeline serves through supporting our people-who-need-Jesus list.
