Stories, updates, and more - September 2018

Because you gave your time, prayers, and/or donations, Christ's love is being expressed around the world!

Arizona Sept Update
Arizona

The recent women’s trip to Arizona was a huge success. They put on a festival for Red Sands Christian School and invited the community. The children loved the petting zoo, bounce house, and games. The volunteers also hosted a Ladies Tea event and over 50 women came including new faces from the community. The team made a meal for people in the area suffering from homelessness, cut their hair, washed their feet and most importantly, prayed with them.

Guatemala Sept Update
Guatemala

Recently Lifeline's church in Guatemala held its fourth anniversary celebration. 110 adults and children gathered together for a time of laughter and fun that included worship, food, a piñata, and God's word.

Deybee, our Guatemala Mission Director, said "Thanks to each one of you for providing great encouragement to the church of Guatemala. Your prayers and unconditional support have blessed us greatly. We do not stop praying for you."

Haiti Sept UpdateHaiti

Look at these beautiful first day of school faces! In Haiti, an education is priceless because there is no basic education guarantee. Lifeline’s schools are situated in communities where there is a great need for an education, and students attend the school through elementary or middle school.

The progress that has been made in Lifeline’s schools puts the students miles ahead of their peers. Our students can read, write, and complete math problems…all basic, important skills that other children in the community may not receive.
These students also learn important life skills, and most importantly, they hear about God’s love and hear from His Word each day.

Thanks to you, your prayers, and your financial support, these students can learn, grow, and experience Christ's love.

 Honduras Sept UpdateHonduras

Students from 1st to 6th grade learned how the Lord loves them so much and even though they have sin in their lives, God is still willing to forgive them. In this lesson at school, the students prayed and asked the Lord to forgive their sins. Then they drew pictures of how a person who has received forgiveness feels and how a person who has not received forgiveness feels.

Here is what some of the children shared:

"God forgive me because I have hidden my snack that I have brought to school. I have hidden it from my brothers, and I promise that I will not do that anymore. I love you God." - Keidy Betsabe, 3rd grade

"God forgive me for lying to my mom." - Genesis, 3rd grade

"Thank you God for forgiving all my sins and for cleaning my heart of sin." - Nohemy, 3rd grade
