Thad VersluysThad serves on our Global Fleet & Properties Team, Container Outfitting Team, and Mobile Meal Pack Team.

You keep ministry momentum moving when you support the ministry of our stateside missionaries: our Lifeline staff who dedicate their lives 24/7 to restoring hope around the world. Your prayers and donations enable our staff to be your hands and feet, as God's love is shared through Lifeline's ministry communities!

Thad shares:

After walking away from the faith I was raised in and putting all my focus into my career in the corporate world, I found myself losing hope.

A friend invited me to a local church. I attended this church several times and I found myself excited about my future and about the Word. Soon after, I realized that God had a lot more planned for me than sitting behind a desk.

I started to volunteer. My first church activity was the Love Project where I helped the One Eighty organization move into their new facility. One Eighty exists to bring hope, love and opportunity to people and communities impacted by crisis, poverty, or addiction. I continue to be actively involved with this organization, leading Bible studies and mentoring young men so they can open their hearts to God, build their personal relationship with God, and leave their past behind.

I went on my first mission trip to Haiti with Lifeline Christian Mission in 2015. This experience completely turned my world upside down. I was nervous about devotions and about praying in front of others. I had no clue what to expect when I got to Haiti. I quickly realized I did not need to know this. God put on my heart what to say and He guided me on the mission trip.

I always knew worldly possessions were not the most important things in life, but this first trip hit me in the face with that fact. I’m fortunate for what I have, but without a doubt the most important possessions I have are a strong faith and unconditional trust in God.

Upon returning home from my first trip I accepted Christ and was baptized at Bettendorf Christian Church. I also started sponsoring two boys from Haiti. Since this first trip, I have been actively involved in numerous mission trips from hurricane relief to church and home building along with assisting with facility repairs in Haiti and Honduras.

Some might think I’m moving onto the next chapter of my life. It’s much more than that, this is my new life, and being the hands and feet of Christ in everything that I do. I spent countless hours praying about how my life experiences could lend itself to the mission’s field. I was blessed at an early age with being surrounded by many influential people who taught me mechanical skills that will be put to use as the International Fleet Manager at Lifeline. I am excited to share my mechanical knowledge with those in Lifeline’s support areas.

Most importantly, I’m so eager to share God’s word and reach those that have not heard the glorious story of Christ and what he did for ALL of us.
