Dilcia’s story… from student to teacher

"My name is Dilcia and I want to share with you about what my experience has been with Lifeline Christian Mission. I am proudly Honduran. I started as a student at Lifeline in 1998 and I finished school in 2006.

It was a great blessing for my family and to the people in the community who lacked of financial resources, that God would send people who had the opportunity to open a Christian school where children of my generation and the next generation would have access to education.

Also, it is important to remember that we were introduced to God through these people that are part of Lifeline and take the time to share with us about our salvation.

During my teenage years I was able to obtain a high school diploma thanks to the mission. And through the sponsorship program, a special person was able to support my studies.

Thanks to them, I am currently employed with Lifeline Christian Mission to serve in the Sponsorship ministry as well as the Reading Program. Both of these not only help me to advance in my university degree, but the opportunity helps me to be able to help pay the studies of my younger siblings, who are at our Lifeline school.

Above all, I am blessed and thank God for Lifeline Christian Mission in Honduras, for the positive impact that has given many Honduran families, just like me, an opportunity to succeed. Also I am grateful that this school has taught us to help others who are in need as well.
