From poverty to riches in God
When Mayandy was just a baby, her father left their family. Struggling and poor, yet determined and hardworking, Mayandy’s mother worked two jobs to take care of her family.Nine years ago, Mayandy’s aunt invited her to Lifeline’s church in El Salvador. Mayandy was hesitant at first, but eventually she went.
“I liked the atmosphere of the church and also the very joyful way of preaching of Pastor Jose; that day he gave me an excellent welcome to the church,” said Mayandy.
From that moment, God transformed her life and her poverty turned to riches in God. She became dynamic, joyful, and active in the church.
Mayandy loves working in various church activities and serving as a Bible school teacher. Today she is Lifeline’s director of children’s ministry and sponsorship in El Salvador.

“Children are a blessing for homes and churches. I like to work with them because they are the present and future of our church in El Salvador,” said Mayandy.
