Inspiring Kids to Serve

At Lifeline, we believe that people of all ages have the ability to serve and make an impact on the world around them. Everyone. Everywhere.

That's why we believe sharing missions with kids is so important.
While much of our work extends across the globe, supporting students and schools in various countries, our commitment to inspiring service begins right here at home in the United States.

This summer, we had the privilege of seeing this mission come to life in a meaningful ways.

Camps x Lifeline
One of the highlights was at Lake Springfield Christian Assembly in Chatham, Illinois. This camp is more than just a place for kids to spend their summer; it’s where they can encounter God in a meaningful way. This summer, the theme was "Greater," reminding everyone that God is greater than anything life might throw at us.

Anya, who served as our live-in ‘missionary’ for the week, did an incredible job helping the campers see how their faith could translate into action. During mission-time sessions, she guided the kids through lessons about Lifeline and the importance of missions. One of the most impactful moments was when the campers participated in meal packs. They didn’t just hear about helping others—they got to be part of it, packing meals that would go on to make a real difference.

But our efforts didn’t stop at camp.

Kids Serving at Lifeline in Your City!
We’ve been hosting "Kids Helping Kids" events at our locations across the country, and each one has brought something special. Whether it was making notecards, playing games that raise awareness about food insecurity, or enjoying a meal together, these events were all about showing kids that they’re never too young to make an impact.

And it’s been amazing to see what’s come out of these events. Many kids have come back with their families to participate in more community activities, and some have even started collecting spare change to support Lifeline’s mission. It’s these small acts of kindness that are growing into something much bigger; a movement of young people who are learning the value of compassion and giving.

VBS x Lifeline

This summer, churches took their VBS fun to the next level by incorporating Lifeline's mission, turning it into a mission of kids helping kids!

From Ohio to Minnesota, these young world-changers raised over $3,000 to help give other kids access to education.

At First Church of Christ and Round Lake Christian Camp in Ohio, campers got creative with a blow-up dinosaur named Spike, who helped teach them about missions. They prayed, watched videos about life in Haiti, and learned about the spirit of giving.

In Cleveland Church of Christ in Minnesota, the fun continued with a “Scuba” VBS theme, where Karen, the mission leader, balanced a bucket on her head to show how kids in Haiti fetch water.

The best part? These small acts of kindness are growing into a movement of young kids who are learning the power of compassion and giving.
