You helped change Johan's life!

Meet Johan, one of our bright and talented Lifeline students! Johan is a 9th grader with big dreams and a heart full of determination. Thanks to your support, he’s been able to overcome the challenges life has thrown his way. 

Johan comes from a loving family that wants nothing more than to see him thrive. He lives with his mother, Ana, and his older sister, Yaretzy. Ana is the epitome of strength and dedication. She’s determined to provide for her family and, with support from Lifeline, she was able to start her own hair salon business. On top of that, Ana works as a waitress to make ends meet.

When Johan talks about his mom, you can feel the admiration in his words. “She has sacrificed her aspirations to help us reach our own. Whenever she has free time, we spend it together. She values our lives more than her own. Even when she is sick, she meets our needs instead of buying medicine or going to the doctor. I just love my mom.”

Without Lifeline, Johan’s family would struggle to afford the cost of tuition and books. But thanks to your support, Johan can focus on learning without the burden of financial stress. The Lifeline school has given him and his sister a chance to pursue their education and their dreams.

“I really appreciate your help with my education. It is a huge help. My mom was not able to pay the monthly contributions and buy the books for the two of us. Without your support, I would not be able to study at the Lifeline school,” Johan shares.

Johan’s favorite subjects are Natural Sciences and Technology, and he’s passionate about learning. He says, “I like the way the teachers structure their classes; they give practical and everyday examples. I have met many good teachers and classmates. Mr. Olger has impacted my life. I have a good relationship with him. He has advised me, and we have talked about life and about God’s love for me. Mr. Olger is more like a friend than a teacher.”

Your support has truly transformed Johan’s life. With the strong foundation he’s built at the Lifeline school, Johan dreams of attending college and starting his own computer programming business. 

“I have attended church since I was little, but I have not attended any service since February this year. I have not been baptized yet, but I know I need to go back to Jesus and attend church. I know God is the only one who can help me reach my dreams. I am planning to go with my grandma to her church.”

Thank you for giving Johan’s family the opportunity to receive an education and experience the love of Jesus. Your care and support have allowed him to grow, learn, and pursue his dreams with confidence.
