Lisa KaylorLisa serves on our Development & Empowerment Team.

You keep ministry momentum moving when you support the ministry of our stateside missionaries: our Lifeline staff who dedicate their lives 24/7 to restoring hope around the world. Your prayers and donations enable our staff to be your hands and feet, as God's love is shared through Lifeline's ministry communities!

Lisa shares:

My husband, Don, and I began our journey with Lifeline when we went on our very first mission trip in 2014. We traveled to Grand Goave, Haiti and by the end of our 10 day trip two very significant things occurred that changed our lives forever! We had fallen in love with the Haitians we served and had come to admire Lifeline Christian Mission as an organization that strives to bring others to a life in Christ through meeting not only their spiritual needs but also their physical needs.

I wanted to do more and so did Don. Our prayer became: “God please use us to accomplish your will. Show us how we can serve you and those around us.” I took on two pieces of scripture as my “life verses”: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.’ Jeremiah 29:11. And the other: Jesus replied, “’Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ Matthew 22: 37-39. These brought me to the realization that yes, God has a plan for my life and this plan involves loving Him and demonstrating that love by blessing others with that which He has given me.

So, our journey began. I went to Grand Goave again the following year. Unfortunately, Don was unable to accompany me due to health problems. I grew very close to God during this trip and closer to the realization that His plan for my life involved serving through Lifeline. My love for the Haitians I served and admiration for that which Lifeline was doing grew.

As God’s plan evolved, He brought Don and I into a closer relationship with Lifeline and the wonderful people who work here. We initially served as Mission Trip Coordinators, and in 2018, after my retirement as a registered nurse, I began serving as the Health Care Ministry Coordinator for Lifeline.

In this role, I am blessed to be able to assist others in the health care field meet the health care needs of many in the different countries in which Lifeline serves. Through meeting these medical needs, we are also able to introduce them to the love of Christ. Many of these dear children of God have never been witnessed to before. What hope they receive through not only having access to much needed medical care and nutrition but most importantly being told they have a Heavenly Father who loves them!

Don and I are blessed. Through Lifeline we have an opportunity to fulfill God’s mission for our lives. We can love Him with all our heart and all our soul and all our mind and we have the opportunity to love and serve our neighbor.
