Ashton shares:
Growing up in a Christian home, my faith was deeply rooted in service and missions from an early age. My father, a pastor, and my mother, who served as a youth pastor for a time, were instrumental in shaping my spiritual foundation. Later, when my dad transitioned to work for a ministry with a strong focus on missions, it further solidified our family's commitment to global outreach. This upbringing not only shaped my faith but also instilled in me a profound sense of responsibility to use my God-given talents to make a positive impact on others' lives, ultimately inspiring my desire to work with and for Christian non-profits.

After graduating from Liberty University with a B.S. in Strategic Communication/Journalism and an M.A. in Religion/Biblical Studies, I felt a strong calling to put my skills to use in meaningful ways. God led me to a fundraising agency where I had the privilege of helping various ministries raise funds for crucial causes such as spreading the gospel, feeding the hungry, and rescuing victims of human trafficking.

This role not only allowed me to contribute to these vital missions but also opened doors for me to travel as a missions journalist. Through these experiences, I've had extraordinary opportunities that have broadened my perspective and deepened my faith. I've found myself in situations I never imagined, from flying a plane to assisting in brain surgery and camping in some of the world's most remote villages.

Now, I'm thrilled to be part of the Lifeline team. I'm eager to see how God will use the diverse experiences He's given me in this new role. Whether it's my academic background, my time in fundraising, or my adventures in mission journalism, I believe each part of my journey has prepared me for this next chapter.
