Cameron shares:
I first followed the call into global mission work as a student attending Purdue Christian Campus House. After a short-term trip to Mexico, I sought out God’s next step, which led to a trip to Bosnia with my church and a connection to FAME. It was during that time that I realized my calling was to serve as a sender and supporter of mission efforts around the world. I joined the FAME team in 2001 and didn’t look back. Later that year, I met Bob and Gretchen Devoe and learned about Lifeline Christian Mission at ICOM.
Since that time, I have served as a leader, connector, and fundraiser for mission projects and partners from South Sudan to Haiti. I have traveled to over 35 countries and made 55 trips to Haiti. I served with sister missions to Lifeline, and we partnered together on many endeavors, including earthquake relief in 2010. I have been blessed to serve with my wife, Jennifer, on short-term trips and together for a mission effort in Haiti for almost a decade.Through it all, my focus and passion has been to build relationships and to connect resources to God’s mission work. I love inviting others to be part of God’s ministry work around the world. I have no greater joy than to build deep relationships with partners and help connect their generosity to God’s work.
I am blessed to live just north of Indianapolis in Kokomo, Indiana, where my two daughters, Anna and Katie, live with their growing families. If I am not serving with Lifeline, you will often find me being Papa to my grandkids and watching sports.
