Cayson shares:
When I was 17 years old, I surrendered my life to Jesus—and everything changed. In that moment, I knew I never wanted anyone to go 17 years without hearing the most life-changing news of all: that they are deeply loved by a God who wants to know them personally. I didn’t know the details of where God would lead me, but I knew I’d always keep my “yes” on the table.
That “yes” has taken me through ministry with students, young adults, and across church operations, missions, and cross-cultural outreach. I studied at Liberty University’s School of Divinity, completed a pastoral residency in Orlando, and have loved serving the local church in every season. But long before any of that—before degrees or job titles—there was Lifeline.
My family started serving with Lifeline two decades ago. Some of my earliest experiences in ministry were packing meals, going on mission trips, and seeing what it looks like to be the hands and feet of Jesus in practical, powerful ways. Lifeline shaped my view of what it means to love people like Jesus does—to meet real needs, build real relationships, and bring the hope of the gospel everywhere we go.
Now, stepping into the role of Charlotte Event Manager feels like a full-circle moment. I get to be part of something I’ve believed in for most of my life—inviting others to join in the mission of ending world hunger in Jesus’ name and seeing communities transformed by His love.
I have an amazing family based in North Carolina, and it’s a gift to serve alongside them in this season. Outside of work, I’m probably out hiking, watching sci-fi movies, spending the day at a theme park, or cheering on my Clemson Tigers (Go Tigers!). I also have a deep appreciation for a good country song and quiet mornings with Jesus.
At the end of the day, my greatest desire is to be useful to Jesus—to go where He sends me and to serve with joy, compassion, and purpose. I believe the best days are still ahead, and I’m so thankful to be part of what God is doing.
