When I was 24 years old, my faith shifted from my head to my heart. Although raised going to church, the Holy Spirit showed me that I had never actually asked Jesus into my life. As soon as I did that, my whole world changed. A year later, I went on a short-term mission trip to the Dominican Republic, and the next year I was a co-leader on a trip to Nicaragua. I witnessed firsthand the transcendent love of God, and my passion for missions and serving was ignited! 

Although I had a background in apparel buying and management, I shifted gears and attended graduate school with a desire to dig deeper into the impact community service can have on college student development. This curiosity led me to write my thesis on civic attitude development in relation to service learning. After graduate school, I went on to work at a global consulting company where I orchestrated leadership and professional development courses throughout the USA and Europe.

                                         

I now have been married for over 20 years and am blessed with two children. When my son was 2 years old, God laid homeschooling on my heart. I thought He was joking! After MUCH prayer, I eventually obeyed and took on the role of homeschool mom headfirst. For the last 15 years, I’ve had the privilege of educating my kids with a biblical worldview and watching them grow in their faith and love for Jesus.  “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children.” -Deuteronomy 6:5-6 

My family has participated in meal packs since my kids were young. We love going as it is a place for ALL ages to work together to further God’s Kingdom benefiting both local and global communities. When we discovered that our current church is a main sponsor for Lifeline, we were thrilled! 

Lifeline is a true JOY, and I am humbled and thankful to be a part of the team. As God weaves our hearts together in serving those in need around the world, my goal is to approach my work with prayer, peace, and wisdom. “For the eyes of the LORD range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him.” -2 Chronicles 16:9a
