Hi, I’m McKenzie. Born and raised in the beautiful state of Kentucky, I grew up with a deep appreciation for community and connection—values that have guided me throughout my life. These roots, combined with a heart for cross-cultural ministry, have shaped my journey in profound ways.
My first mission trip to Uganda, in 2019, was a pivotal moment, where I had the privilege of providing speech therapy services to children and adults in need. This experience not only fueled my passion for serving across cultural boundaries but also deepened my commitment to using my skills to make a difference.
In 2023, my husband and I made the move across the pond to live in Birmingham, England for a year to work with asylum seekers and refugees. That season taught me so much about resilience, hope, and the power of human connection in the face of adversity.
Professionally, my path has been wonderfully diverse. I’ve worked as a speech therapist, where I supported individuals in finding their voices—both literally and figuratively. I’ve also been a barista and café manager, roles that allowed me to create welcoming spaces where stories and cultures could intersect over a cup of coffee.
Now residing in Florida, I continue to carry these rich experiences with me, seeking to foster relationships that reflect God’s love and compassion. Whether through ministry, work, or simply sharing life with others, I’m passionate about building bridges across cultures, languages, and borders.
